Decided to add a pouch to the sheath of my 5.1, and as you will see, I overkilled it.. a lot. Now I have a lot of blades, and found some I really liked, but this has become my favorite easily. This being my first S!K knife but most certainly not my last. Haven't had it very long so still learning the capabilities but they seem just about endless. The quality of this knife is out of this world. Fit and finish and everything. Props to guy for putting this kind of product on the market. Now for the pictures.. (bear with me, first time posting images from a phone so don't know how this is gonna turn out)

Nice setup. I added a Maxpedition pouch and a dangler. I have quite a few fix blades and I love my 5.1's. Actually have one in hand right now. Planning to head to Yosemite and then to the Grand Canyon and it's one of the blades tagging along.

Thanks man. I think adding a pouch to a fixed blade just adds to the capabilities of that system, because I find myself not wanting to carry a pack on me at all times on my smaller/shorter excursions (yes I call it laziness). Yosemite definitely sounds like a fun one, let me know how that 5.1 holds up out there!

Regarding Yosemite, be careful about what you use your knife for. There are a lot of fairly restrictive regulations about messing with the local fauna and the rangers are very strict and aggressive. When I was last there, you were not allowed to burn wood you found on the ground and had to buy / bring in wood if you wanted a fire. This was a few years ago, so YMMV. Just be informed.

I find that photo a little ironic. Y? well, when we were children we had blocks, but now that we're older we buy the hardest super steel we can come up with, get a bunch of sharpening stuff so it's razor sharp, and then since we manage to cut ourselves with it we need various Band-Aids and such. And yet that's the toy we require. Nice 5.1 [emoji577]
It is good stuff to have.. I carry a roll of that medical tape and a bunch of gauze, but no Band-Aids.

Very cool, Logan! Care giving a rundown of all the gear you pictured? Quite a few months ago there was a good discussion about pouches on sheaths. I think it's a pretty interesting topic.

Thanks! The items I keep in there are some DMT credit card sharpeners 3 different grits, a couple bandaids, alcohol wipes for either prep or fire starting, some disinfecting cream, gauze, a small leather strop with compound to touch up my blade, water purification tablets, a ferro rod with a striker, 1 wetfire, a little Swiss Army knife and a smaller folding knife (I believe in any situation where you can preserve the edge of your primary blade, you should), a small roll of paracord, a small fishing kit featuring 40lb braid miscellaneous hooks and sinkers, and a bobby pin. I do agree it is a pretty interesting topic and to some might be unnecessary but I just always find myself in situations where I have my primary but not a pack so mixed the 2 together haha

Thanks, we're out here right now and haven't been able to use the knife yet. We rented a house on the outskirts and there's a nice pile of wood out back that I might play with. We'll be hitting the trails tomorrow to check things out in Yosemite.

Appreciate the info. We're just doing some day hikes with the kids and I'll be sure to follow the rules. I'm assuming they probably have the no burning rules because some idiots probably started cutting down dead trees or even live ones before for their firewood. I don't plan to damage anything while I'm out hiking. More of an emergency setup, since it's off season and we've gotten a decent amount of rain. Don't plan on getting lost or my truck stuck anywhere, but can never be too careful.
