GSO 5.1 vs 7/7

I'm not sure if this has been asked but what your guy's take on these two?

I got a 5.1 and love it. I have yet to experience a 7/7 but it won't be much longer.

Perhaps you should also consider the gso 8 !

I have. But I don't think its a large enough difference in the wife's eyes to justify getting both.

I was just thinking about that. An inch longer than the 7/7 and wider blade width.

I think it will be able to slice chop baton and still be a knife rather than a big chopper.

For me, I prefer the 5.1. There wasn't anything the 7/7 could do that the 5.1 couldn't. The 5.1 was better balanced and a little more compact to carry. That was the when they were the same just one with a longer blade. With the starter the new 7/7 is slightly different and intended as more of a fighter than the 5.1. So my thoughts are it is going to be better balanced than the old 7/7. So I might have to pick one up.

I'm so ready, I could barley contain my self just seeing it next in line to start! Should be still cold so I can build fires for warmth instead of bug retardant. I'm stocking the wood rack now.
