What an incredible piece! I was very fortunate to score this one from Gus at Blade this year (pics long over due
). The Supersonic model was an instant favorite of mine after seeing some pics that he posted awhile back. The design is very unique and appealing to the eye IMO. His deeply contoured handles, straight and even blade grinds, and a ton of little details makes this one a HUGE favorite of mine - it simply flows! Thanks Gus and look forward to seeing what kind of work you have at Blade next year!
This shows how nicely the blade sits within the two-tone titnanium handle. Check out them curves!
A pic showing the nice lines of the handle with the hand satin flats-
A close-up of the Timascus thumb ramp/flipper. Gus has got this ramp and detent totally dialed it. You place the tip of your thumb just under the tip of this ramp and flip your thumb forward - the blade fires open like an assisted opener! The interesting part is that the detent is strong and the blade cannot be forced out of the handle by gravity or motion in any way. Also noticed here is his hand carved triangular screw head-
A view from the back - sexy
These next couple of shots shows the great dimensional aspects of the handle-
The sweeeeet pocket clip again with his carved triangular screw heads-
A view from the spine of the handle displaying some added grip work-
