Hopefully not a repost but I am just heading out no time to search!
He makes a bow saw in a really clever way I never thought of to start, and his shelter is really top notch, maybe not for really cold nights though.
Also not sure if his roof has enough pitch to shed water using just boughs.

He used his tarp to measure the width, so he could place it under or over the roof if needed. It doesn't sound like this was his first rodeo though.

It is a great video series. I've never built one of these, and I may have missed it, but it appeared that he laid the boughs bottom side out on the roof and sides. I would have thought that top side out would provide more protection??
