Old Lawman abbreviation: GTT meant Gone To Texas - ( out of reach ).

In less than 12 hours I'm Tulsa bound. Back Saturday, but probably too tired to report.

You can reach me, maybe, through the NDN.

For the rest of the week I am O U T !!!

Looking forward to your arrival Bro!!!! You probably won't be all that tired out unless I rent a sportster model walker, but then we would probably need two of them.;)

I've found a new doc that seems to be helping more than the other docs have.
If things keep up the way they have been over the last four days there ain't no telling how speedy I will become one of these days.:D :p

And anyone is welcome to reach Rusty here.

Rusty just called from airport -- made it past security (believe it or not!) and is on his way TT

Whether we have any braised er fried squirrel heads er not!!!!!:p  :)

We just came from a doc's appointment, Barb's this time, and just down the road by the dip that crosses the little dry brook, except for when it rains heavily, there was a fairly fresh tree rat that hadn't made it across.
Barb said, "That's probably why I haven't seen my squirrel in a couple of days."
Problem is is that the squirrel is fresher than that. It wasn't there this morning when we made our first trip into town. :)

I'm hoping I can drag younger Bro to at least one of our museums here. Gilcrease is world renowned for its collection of goodies.
There are enough Eagle Feathers on display there to outfit a whole squad of Gourd Dancers, let alone the art work by Russel and other famous western artists!!!!!!!

Besides that the BS sessions are gonna be priceless. We're not gonna record them so as to not commit any possible charges of perjury somewhere in the future.:)

Keep us posted. Rusty's flight was (is?) late getting out of Reno. I hope he doesn't get stranded inf SLC.

AND THAT'S JUST THE MILES I DROVE!!!

132 miles Hawthorne to Reno
833 miles on rental car Tulsa to Texas to Tulsa
30 +/- miles (four hours shopping Reno on return)
132 miles Reno to Hawthorne
___________
1127 miles ( approximate )driven Tues. thru Sat.

Will figure out air travel later. Just wanted to say I made it back home. PS - the 833 miles was in under 36 hours - including stopping and searching courthouse records in Grayson, Erath, and Johnson counties.

Tomorrow I SLEEP IN!!!

OK, Rusty. See you made it. I'll get the pix of the Shoshone Rose up today with any luck.

Glad you made it back safely Rusty. Okay, what's the pic? You guys have me really curious.:)

Will be self explanatory when you see it.

Yvsa talked of naming the Scagel style bowie the Cherokee rose.

Then I went to a local powwow I haven't gone to in years and spotted a 4" diameter belt buckle that was completely done in seed beads. I bought it.

Later I realized it had significance to a mystical experience I'd had almost 15 years ago ( 2PM 5/13/87 ) when I stood in the middle of the reservation and felt heat/light/fire unthaw and make my heart/soul burst into full bloom like time lapse photograhy of a rose budding and opening into full blossom.

Any way, this is a blue Shoshone rose, and a mandella like you see fancy dancers wear on their foreheads in their regalia, only on a belt buckle.
An icon which symbolically reminds me to try to live in that state daily. To reach out to others in lovingkindness and charity ( while keeping the 41 mag. in my other hand leveled on 'em under the table ). Sorry for the touchy feely response, but you asked that's only way I can think of off hand to answer honestly.

Bill will get it up and you'll see. Rusty.

PS: do these things after your second cup of coffee instead of your second Heineken and see if that helps make posting pictures easier, Unc.

Lousy equipment and lousy software is the culprit but it is easier after a few Heinekens -- I don't get so irritated.

Rusty, thankyou for sharing your personal experience and the Blue Shoshone Rose.
...that hatband is mighty nice too :)

If the photo is nice we can thank the gods of accidental good photos. And, yes, the hatband is nice -- and so is the hat for that matter.
