Here's the next one done.......

Forged from 1075
Clay quenched
8 1/2" overall, 4" from tip to "guard"
.190" thick at the ricasso
Heavily rounded spine and ricasso edge
Twist damascus collars with coined spacer
Desert ironwood handle

The finial nut is temporary as the one that will go on it is somewhere on my shop floor and will likely warrant that I make a new one. :)

That is very nice John, I like the dark coined spacer. May I ask how you get such crisp even lines on your coining?

You should just leave that temporary nut on there, and see if anyone says anything!

I hate when I drop stuff on the floor and can't find it.

Once, I lost a tiny spring and 1/2 inch pin to an auto pistol I was cleaning. Found it in a deep crack in the concrete. Luckily I had a strong magnet, and both pieces came up with the magnet. The crack was so tiny, I could not get pliers, or anything down in there.

Oh, and I love every single thing about that knife (except for maybe that nut).

This is a standout hunter John. Be sure to put it in the judging, I can see it taking home an award. See ya this weekend, you drive safe.

So glad I re-read your post and caught this - I was about to go all STeven on you. :D Good looking knife.
