I picked this up from Gudy at Blade this past year

It was an order from the previous year that I made after seeing this model first hand

Gudy is a friend and a man of his word and i was thrilled to pick it up

I had Paul long do a black shark quick release horizontal pouch

Well the knife due to the cooler weather has made it ito the rotation a lot more so I wanted to revisit this blade package from to great artisans

All i can say is that i love it

It’s a big liner lock with carbon fiber textured scales a tapered titanium frame and hand carved skulls

The action is great and it feels very impressive in the hand

I love Navajas and this modern high end adaptation from Gudy is an incredible flipper variant

It’s come to be one of my all time favorite folders and ownership is an exclusive club

Gudy puts a ton of hand work in to these

Pauls Pouch makes this large folder carry like a dream

It’s a large folder but do to its titanium and carbon construction and tapered back spacer it moves like magic

A tapered tang on a folder is very cool

Gudy with Paul and John Gray

Man that thing is gorgeous! Have admired Gudy's work for a long time. Thanx for sharing this. I

Example most folders back spacers are the same thickness from bolster to butt

like this DISKIN

A gorgeous knife, no doubt. Tapered tang on a folder is very high class. Only thing I can dislike is the skull. Don't need no Memento Mori.

I really appreciate the style. It has the "swing" of a Navaja but drawn out to the cleanest. The cladding, well... you know "tastes and colours..." !

Compared to a full dress version this variant is tame in Gudy standards :)

I had asked for a plain jane one

What I like on mine is the all carbon fiber scales and the treatment he used to texture it

It is a lot of hand work done with I believe dental tools

As for the tapered frame and back spacer

There are not a lot of makers doing this and I would love to see more

That’s one damn fine folder, Joe. I really like the treatment to the carbon fiber. The carbon fiber look is rather “industrial”, but that finish on yours lends a natural element to it; and I’m in love with it.

The skull? Typically not my style either, but it just fits perfectly on this example.

When I ordered it i was pretty non descriptive with Gudy

I asked for a plain utility version not one of his dress variants

With Gudy always expect at least one skull :)
