Sorry it's been a while since the last rollover giveaway, it seems to have slipped by a bit.
First off, I want to give a big thanks to Markesharp for the prize from the last giveaway.
I'm loving the sodbuster! I knew it was supposed to be a good farm hand knife, but this thing seems to be perfect for out in the vineyard, I'm sure it will get some use! (probably fairly hard use, but I heard these sodbusters can take it!
)
Now, for the prize. I bought this Vic farmer a while ago. (second hand, not sharpened, and in fairly good condition) It was meant as a replacement to my, then-favorite edc knife. A red Swissbianco Pioneer/Soldier which didn't leave my pocket from the time I bought it, to the time it jumped out, seemingly of its own accord.
It was listed as a pioneer, but turned out to be a Vic farmer, and I didn't care for the extra heft the saw added to the knife so it never saw use.
I decided that for this giveaway I may as well make a leather fob and pouch for it, as a little extra. They're made of kangaroo hide, which is supposedly tougher, lighter and thinner than cowhide. It also gives the winner a bit of Australia as well.
Now, this is the knife you will have to guess.
It was made by a company that is now out of business, and is a fine example of the pattern. Bonus points if you can guess the exact name of the manufacturer as they are stamped on the tang!
I hope this isn't too vague a picture, and if it is I will ad another picture and maybe some clues.
Good Luck!
