I've been toying with this idea for a while and I think it'll work!

It's basically a rolling giveaway, one person posts a pic of a part of a knife and everyone has the opportunity to guess the knife. The person posting the pic can specify how much detail is needed, name, model#, blade configuration, scale type/colour etc.

I thought I would post the first pic, give everyone a week then my random number generator (my wife) would pick a lucky winner:) If after a couple of days everyone is miles off then I'll post another pic.

Here's the catch! If you enter an answer you have to be prepared to offer up a pic of part of the next mystery knife and a knife as a prize as well. So on it goes....

I think it'll work, please offer tweaking suggestions (length of time, etc) why it won't work:)

Ok, so here's my offering.

I think this is quite an easy one so I'm after maker, pattern name and #, blade configuration, cover type and name.

As a prize, seeing as I'm well past my 1000 mark I'm offering my Diamond Radio Jack.

The blades have some patina now and I've convexed the edge bevel. I'll send it to whatever far flung corner of the world you live.

Let the fun begin!

#541208 Harness Jack in yellow banana bone.

Good game, I like it :)

I agree with Paul, a Northfield #541208P Harness Jack with clip and punch in Smooth Banana Peel Bone.

Is it a Sabre 624?? Just a guess. Good idea for a giveaway. I like. I didn't notice the metal on the scales.

I think it favors an old German Eye stockman, but i really don't want to win.I would rather have teeth pulled than try to post pics.

I think I can see cam tangs. Northfield 66 jack, rotten banana bone. Great giveaway idea!

Damn! that's what I was thinking.... I didn't know about the cam tangs, but I saw a cloud shield, and thought the bone looked like rotten banana.

Congratulations (if you won, of course.) :)

Don't think it can be that. The 66 RBB has slanted bolsters and nail nicks each side (Master on the outside) The knife shown appears to have Master on inside, secondary outside and nail-nicks both sides. 25 Northfield Jack Yellow Bone, Clip/Pen?????

Glad to see people having a go, it's fun seeing people's thoughts:)

Remember, if you're taking a punt the winner has to offer the next mystery knife pic AND a giveaway knife.
