If you guessed license, you're right. :D I took my test at 3:45pm and by 4:10 or so I was on the road with my temporary license. Luckily I got it on the first try. Our appointment was for 4, we got there at 3:30 just in case they'd take me in early. A kid came in with a 3:45 appointment, but my dad and I were laughing because we could hear them in the office with the Statey talking about how they forget their registration and the dad forgot his license. So we got his spot :D He had me pull over the curb, do a three point turn, pull over to the curb again, signed the permit and told me I passed. I had been practicing for about an hour that morning. I think that's a little light...but he probably wanted to go home and my dad thinks that taking the test in a 5-speed made him more confident in my abilities.

Now I just have to find a job...

i still have to wait 6 months before i can take my test. oh well. i guess i'll have to settle with driving a go kart around for now :D

Congratulations! Drive defensively, leave the temper at home and live to a ripe old age.;):D

Congrats!

Just remember to be careful when you're driving alone, and don't let people piss you off. I'm 24, got my license when I was 16, my mom still says I'm an aggressive driver... but the way I see it, I drive in as straight a line as the road dictates and I don't let people irritate me.

Use your best judgement in passing, don't go too fast or too slow and you'll be good to go.

One more thing... DON'T be scared of cops. I hate when a police car passes by and everyone slams on their brakes (I nearly rear-ended someone once because she came to an almost complete stop when a police car passed by). If he's going slower than the speed limit, don't be afraid to pass him.

Congratulations!

Drive safely!

Always leave at least a 2-second gap between you & the vehicle in front of you.

Treat every other driver as though he were a blind, homicidal maniac. Too many are.

Now all your buddies will want you to cart them around and will never give you gas money. :D

Congratulations though.

They say that if you can drive in Massachusetts, you'll do ok anywhere. Now and then I drive back up to suburban Boston and am reminded just how true that is. Keep your foot on the pedal, your eyes closed, and middle finger out the window...Ahhh yes :D

Well done digger, getting your D/L is a milestone in your life - get some practice then drive around as many new roads as you can find.

The world is a big place with lots of roads - happy journey.

Congrats on the license. A bumper sticker comes to mind, dont drive faster than your guardian angel can fly. Some advice, always make sure you have some decent tires if possible, also learn the characteristics of your car. How it handles turns, and how well the braking works. One bit of advice that I think can help save you some headaches is when you get into a slide and start losing control of it, do not I repeat do not hit your brakes, just let off of the gas. This will help you regain controll. Good Luck! :)

LOL, I was going to say I hope he learned skid-control at driving-school, but giving that a successful 3-point turn qualifies one for a license in Mass. makes me glad I'm not driving in America.

Just kidding, Congrats :D
