Hi Nonbox!

Check with Dale about pricing...

I think the price is around $450 with BG42 steel and there are several finishes available too.

For a limited run, custom made, Hi grade materials, and award winning design, I think it's a steal!

Mr. Pirela, your knives are absolutely incredible! I just love looking at your site and wishing I had some money! As a newbie knifemaker, i now know how hard it is even to make a junky user knife and i am constanly amazed by your stuff!

And the best news is in the small print. "fixed blade version" available.

Wonder how much that goes for?

Dale's knives well deserved to win all of the four awards he won in Denver. His work is truly impressive. And you're right John, he's a great guy to speak with. There were also a number of other top level makers there, including S. R. Johnson and Ray Appleton, among others.

I can say from personal experience you don't ever want to have your table next to Steve Johnson's. My only hope was that people would get to me first. If they were walking in the other direction, I was toast.

I just want to thank everyone for the nice words. The PKA Show was a good show for me with 4 awards. It was good to meet some of you, thanks for stopping by my table. Anyone wanting any info on the Atrox, just contact me by email and I'll fill you in on both the fix and the folder. Once again, thanks.

This design and the your Elishewitz design are great. You have a real gift. Are their any possibilities of seeing one of your designs made available to the masses? Maybe a collaboration on a wide scale with a major company? The limited run stuff is great, but I would love to see something by you more readily available.

$450 is a steep price. Anything going into mass production for a resonable price?

Hi Dennis & nonbox,

The only factory collaboration that I have so far is the Microtech Vector and it run for about $279 or so.
I enjoy working hand to hand with custom knifemakers and my experience with Reese, Allen & Dale have been great!

p.s. I think that for a limited run, handmade knife with the materials being used, $450 it's a good price!

regards,

I agree that $450 is an excellent price. I would like to see something of your designs a litle more mass produced, without compromising on the quality too much. Something around the $200 mark, and not such a limited run. More available to the average elu. Anyway, keep up the great design work!

Hey Joel! at the risk of sounding like a bootlicker, IMHO you have the sweetest designs i've ever seen. You've managed to come up with unique looks in a field of hundreds of others. My only complaint is that your website doesn't have enough pictures. Have you thought about designing a large fixed blade tactical/combat(if you have, WHY ISN'T IT ON YOUR WEBSITE)?? Keep up the good work!!

Scraped, burnt, sliced, smashed. AHHHH, knifemaking!!!!

Hi Tactical,

Thanx for the compliments and yes, my website doesn't have enough pictures.

I will be working on a large fighter fixed blade if there is a market for it next year. Right now I did a fixed blade based on the "Sonic Folder" on the special project page. It's really nice!

Keep your eyes open!

regards,
