She said, "Maybe you should buy some more knives"

!!!

:D

SO what do you all think I ought to pick up?

I've been considering a nice THIN bladed edc fixed blade. With a sub 4" blade. Sort of a replacement for my folder.

Knives that I have been looking at lately are(not limited to) Knives of Alaska Cub, Buck 102, Buck 105, Mora knives (not really looking for something so "cheap") Benchmade Bone Collector 15000-2, and some of the smaller cold steel fixed blades. I also noticed that kershaw has some hunters out as well.

How about the older model Cold Steel Master Hunter in Carbon V? I had one long ago that sliced like a laser! ;)

Look into the soon to be new offering from Scrap Yard Knife Company. It's .09 ELmax, 3.5" blade, should be one hell of a slicer.

Did you die and go to heaven?:D
Right now I am lusting over a Ontario Blackbird SK-5 in 154CM and 0.13 inches thickness. Maybe you might want to give it a look but it is 5".

OH Dang-It!

She just went and bought about $1000 worth of camera.

Yep.

Well at least I get a new knife.

I would say that's a fair trade... Get yerself a Busse gladius, then make her take pictures of you dismembering a car with it. She now has the right camera for the job

I've owned a custom or two. I was very impressed with the NWA Forum Custom. Which was my first. The blade was a bit too thick for what I'd like now.
I'm looking for something that I can fit in my back pocket, that will do anything from slaughtering turkeys to breaking down boxes to striping wires to shaving wood to start a fire. As a contractor out in the country my scope of work is pretty broad. What I want is the be all and end all of utility knives.

I really like the distal tape on my cold steel master hunter, but the blade is longer than I'd like. I'm really looking hard at the KOA Bear Cub. But I'm looking at other knives as well.

Has any one got experience with the Kershaw hunters?

I'd also like to stick with USA made knives. But Kershaw, and spyderco might be an exception.

I took a look at the Spyderco South Fork, but for the money I think I can do better. It looks almost perfect But I'd prefer a sub 4" blade.
