Guess who carries a custom Emerson

I was reading my latest issue of Blade Magazine last night and ran across an article on David Crosby (Crosby, Stills, and Nash). The editor asked him what kind of knife he carries and he said usually he carried either a Terzoula or a knife made by Ernie Emerson. I thought that was pretty cool. I sure wish I could find a custom Emerson (that I could afford).

Maybe when the custom shop opens soon you will be able to afford one. And eventually Ernie may start taking orders again. I have my invoice for a custom left hand CQC-5. I have been waiting a year and will probably have to wait several more. The invoice price is $500.00 When I get it I will carry it. But it will only see light duty. There are a lot of custom makers out there that do good work. Tom Mayo, DC Monroe, and Darrel Ralph to name a few that will make you an awesome knife for around $500.00. No it won't be an Emerson but it will hold you over for the ten years that it might take to get a custom Emerson. Or you could buy a production model and send it to Kevin for modification. Be patient, all things come to those that wait!

Oh, I have knives made by Darrel Ralph, Pat Crawford, Mayo, Had a Munroe but sold it Etc.... But I really want a CQC6 or something like that. I could afford a $500 Emerson for sure. I just can't put $1500 to $2000 in one. I have never owned an Emerson, but I have admired them. One day I will get one (hopefully soon).

maybe since Ernie is semi-retired I hope to see mine later this year? I wish anyway
