I went to a rendezvous yesterday and met and talked to knifemaker Dave Beck. He had these throwing knives for sale so I picked one up. This knife will make a great woods tool also. What a pleasure to meet one of the best makers of outdoor blades ever.

That's cool. I talked to him on the phone many years ago, really a nice guy and he has tons of woods knowledge.

I had a few conversations with Dave a few years ago. He is one of the nicest guys I ever met. He gave me all sorts of advice as to knifemaking. I'd love to meet him in person. Super nice guy.

That's a great looking knife! As you say , it looks like it will be a useful all around tool, and even if you don't plan on throwing it, it's nice to know that you can if you need to some day. I think I'd have to throw it around some just for the fun of it.

WOW!! What a knife. Very nesmukish. I'd never throw it. Really a cool looking snag Scott!

Throwing it would be easy.

Catching it, now that's a whole 'nuther story.

I throw 16 inch Tramontina Machetes. Don't try it unless you have a safe place for them to land. The secret is to throw them spine forward. Mac

Never could get into throwing knives. I've had them thrown at me at work but that's another story. :D This is an excellent chopper. I tried it out and it's does very well. BTW, it's O1 steel.

Sweet knife, I've gotta try my hand at throwing one of these days.

Silenthunterstudios, I just had to comment on your avatar. I like.

Guess who I met. BO RANDALL. Several times when I was a teenager he let me hang around and handle some of the finished knives he had on display in the glass cases. He had a cool museum, too!
