Okay here's the deal, I have this thing for Stag and folks send me pics of stag pieces all the time. One of the makers here on BFC sent me these pics, they're beautiful examples and part of the makers personal collection. They are Not For Sale.

See if you can Guess Who the Maker is?
Now, the Key Word is GUESS. If you know who the maker is, that's not a guess is it?
Make a comment here if you like, but please don't blow it for the folks that don't know and want to play.

This is just for fun and no prizes will be awarded and please no wagering. ;)

I know, but its not a guess. This should be a cool thread. BTW, I have one similar to the one on top on order. Yes, It will be in stag.
:p

If I guess, and guess correctly, I will be in big trouble. But the truth is I have no idea. I could make a guess, but I think that would be foolish. They look like forged blades. The hatchet narrows the field a little.

I really like the big bowie on top, and the damascus looks interesting although a better pic of that would be nice. I am not going to be making a guess.

Para, to be or not to be, that is the question...

My guess, and it really is a guess, is:
PJ Tomes
I say this only because I seem to recall some thing about his name and 'exchange blade' on the cutting edge site. I could be way off, too.
I remain,
Ebbtide aka "Notafraidtoriskaguess"

isnt this the guy that made that one knife...you know...the one that had the blade AND the handle...
yeah,thats the one :D

My guess is Kit carson, from the olden days.
I think the guard is a dead giveaway on the top knife.

This is really a guess....

I would say Ray Kirk - cause he uses stag and also has some knives with the same "finish" - of rough metal..

What's up PhilL?

Phil,
I've seen an example of one of those before. I think, in the mid 80's there was a maker from Texas, Lester Rodeocker, that did that kind of work.
Lester is my guess.

I don't have a clue. I was going to guess Kit Carson, but obviously that is incorrect. When are we going to find out?

Dave, it's a good thing you added that Smiley Face, I'd hate to be you expecting a Letter Bomb or afraid to start my car for the rest of my life. ;)

This is turning into being a pretty impressive list of makers.

Kit, you got the time frame right the 1980's, and you are correct Lester did make the Cable Damascus for the fighter, BUT he didn't make the knife.

Guys keep quessing, I'm going to try to convince the maker to post here with some more details and background on these pieces.
