Just ordered a Paradigm Pro and 3 stone sharpening system :D

Been waiting for the PP to show up on the Buck site as "available" so I could use my BCCI discount. Checked this morning and the "unavailable" label was gone so for $80 (free shipping) it's heading my way.

Though I use my Sharpmaker and Lansky Diamond set a good bit I've been wanting something for the kitchen and again thanks to my BCCI discount the 3 stone set for $34 looked like a deal I coudn't pass upl.

WOOOHOOOO!

Whoohoo is right-good way to spend your discount-what other knife are you gonna get. I've been thinking coco 119 and maybe the ergo folder pro, so many choices:D so little cash:( Love the BCCI:thumbup:

I already picked up this Mayo TNT Carbon Fiber as my first knife with the discount.

UPS is scheduled for Friday but that seems like a lifetime from now!!!!

I know that feeling. I'm waiting on two UPS shipments from Canada and one from France.

I've been pleased with the Buck 3-stone, but you'll have to tell us about the Paradigm. The jury's still out for me on that one.

Received my order from Buck yesterday. The Paradigm Pro is pretty slick. I really like the way if feels and the way the bolster lock operates, great design. While not shaving sharp it did come with a decent edge. The main issues I have/had are side to side play in the blade and the blade not being centered.

It's off center enough that it almost touches the off side liner, (opposite side that the bolster lock is on). Tried to tighten the pivot but it didn't want to move. I then loosened and retightened the pivot so that I could not open or close the blade. This didn't shift the blade centering at all. I thn loosened the pivot until the knife again functioned properly and smoothly and the side to side play is pretty much gone. Blade is still off center as before.

I'm not terribly anal about my blades being centered but coming directly from Buck I kind of expected it would be perfect or at least much more so than it is. Overall though I love the knife and unless it starts hitting the liner when I close it I'll just leave well enough alone and just enjoy my new purchase.

As far as the three stone sharperner goes, I like it! Already got some of my kitchen cutlery back to slicing paper with little or no effort (even my cheapy steak knives).

Could someone tell me how big the stones are. I don't see it listed?

I'll measure them when I get home tonight.

All three measure 6" x 1.5" or close to it. The two diamonds might be alittle closer to 1 5/8" instead of 1.5".
