I recently ordered three knives, a Buck Mayo Hilo, a Byrd Cara Cara, and a Ka-bar Dozier folder with the expectation that my oldest daughter would take one (I was sure it would be the Dozier as I thought it was a good size for her purse.) Wrong, she liked the Buck Mayo and if the lock had not been so stiff she might have gone with the Byrd Cara Cara. So, has anyone else gotten a knife for someone thinking it would fit only to end up giving them one that you had bought fo yourself?

Not surprising. My daughter isn't into knives at all, except in the kitchen, so that's what I get her.

At one time, I offered her a Mora, realizing she might not like it, but she was so pleased with its sharpness and utility, she kept it.

A friend of mine was going on vacation and asked to borrow a knife to leave in her purse in case she needed to cut something while she was there.

I figured that my leek or my Centofante 3 would be the best bets, so I brought those for her to play with and try out, but when she saw the BM921 in my pocket, that's the one she liked.

How could I not let her take it?
