Morning all!

A few years ago I picked up a few stones to try freehand sharpening and I did not have the time or patience to master it. I've started researching again to try a guided system. I see a few posts from the past week on this topic, as well as various systems recommended when using the search function. I see a few have cyber Monday deals, so I'd like to pull the trigger by end of day.

Use case is mainly kitchen/steak/chef knives.

I've narrowed it down to the following in the $250-$350ish range. I'd really like to stay around this price point. I can always add on things later, like bases and other accessories, but would like enough stones to start to handle my use case. Please let me know what would be the best out of this group, or if I am missing anything else. These are the prices I see as of today on main product sites, but might be missing other sites that have deals on these systems.

Wicked Edge GO WE-60 (no base) - $235 + 800/1000 stones $76 = $311
Edge Pro PLUS (new Nov 2024) Kit #3 = $295
TSPROF Kadet Pro Version T = $309
Worksharp Professional Precision Adjust = $250
Hapstone R2 Standard - $275 + stones ($65-$98) = $340

I was leaning towards either the Wicked Edge or TSPROF, but I realize it was the lower end model in both of those lines. Was hoping someone could tell me one of these are a no brainer at todays price point.

Im pretty happy with the work sharp professional percision adjust. I got it for the small blade table it comes with, its great for slipjoints. I dont know anything about the others.

I also have the worksharp. I like it and it does contain everything. I also have the edge pro original and it’s a good system, I just didn’t like using the non dominate hand. I imagine the rest are good systems, I just don’t know anything about them.

If I didn't have a K03, I'd be all over the Kadet at that price. I'm not really familiar with the others.
