Hi since i have been in china i have been trying to learn about custom and handmade makers. The easiest ones to find for me are hand forged knives made by a guy who calls himself guiguzi 鬼谷子 after a famous Chinese philosopher. He forges quite a few of each type of knife by hand out of T10A so they aren't one of a kinds but it means that his knives are inexpensive enough for even me to collect and enjoy.
this is what he calls the 捍将 fierce general. it has a blade length of 18.5cm and an overall length of 31cm the handle is alternating pieces of leather and water buffalo horn with a piece of wood (not sure what kind) in the center with brass and (i think) aluminum spacers around it the pommel and guard are also brass. It's only the second custom knife i have bought (the other is from the same guy) so I'm really excited.
