So a good buddy of mine here in Nashville (Kirk Guillot, or Trenchknife on here) has started making knives, he's primarily focused on fixed blades and friction folders so far, but I think he's starting to look at some locking folders.
Specs
Blade: 3"
OAL: 6.75"
Weight: 5.7oz (w/o sheath), 7.9oz (with Outrider Leather Sheath)
Steel: 3V
Kirk has been making knives for a year or so, and man has he really taken to it... This is THE sharpest knife I've ever owned, and the ergos on it couldn't get any better.
The blade is a hollow grind with a true convexed tip, he's sharpened it on the backside a-la Snody, this straightens out the cut and...I dunno, makes it stupid sharp. Seriously, I was terrified of this knife until I got a sheath for it.
The ergos and size on this thing are perfect.
So onto leatherwork... This sheath came from Outrider Leather, same dude Jon Graham uses for his leatherwork. He's one of the two guys I commonly use for sheaths, PM if you need some contact info, I can't recommend him enough.
See above haha... I hope you all like this piece, it's exceptional IMO.
