just wanted to see how u guys like my design that was built by Terry Guinn. it is a push dagger style of knife, but in a tanto style blade shape. there were three prototypes made up with different handle styles. hopefully, there will be a small run of the knife if enough interest is out there... EDC Knives would handle that.

specs:

tanto style blade with zero bevel false edge
blade length - 3.5"
blade width - 3/16"
overall length - approximately 5.75"
scales - micarta and G10
steel - ATS34

time for a close up! two prototypes have micarta scales. the handles r a little different from each other in shape and feel.

I like it a lot! How much? :D And, I'd love to see a slightly smaller design, though if thats all your making i'm still interested. I think a 3'' blade with an overall lenght of 5'' would be perfect for EDC, but then again I have small hands.

I have always been fond of these style knives and own one made by Cold Steel about 5 years ago.

I would like to get another with a secure sheath, preferably kydex, and those tanto styles are mighty attractive. I too, would like to know what kind of price range we are talking about.

Yeah, I like that! Maybe a bit smaller, in S30V... wow, those are nice. How much is yours running you?

hey guys,

glad u like it. i have been getting positive responses to the Push Tanto. price is still up in the air, but i want to keep it affordable. i don't want to discuss price on the forum as i'm not sure it is allowed... i am not going to be selling these, i only came up with the design.

as for S30V steel, i too want that, but the cost is very high and would push the price way up.

Terry is a bit busy these days, but if enough interest is shown, these will be made.

i think only 10 to 20 will be made initially... i still have to discuss plans with Duane from EDC Knives. drop him an email and ask him prices and availability. it will get the ball rolling in the right direction.

my Push Tanto was more expensive than the production versions because it was a prototype that was hand made. the production ones will be water jet cut to cut down on labour and $$$.
