Is anyone going to the show in Portland, I still debating if I'm going to this one or not, with Christmas coming.

Sure. I've picked up some real bargains at the Portland shows in the past, so I'll try again.

Besides, they're an interesting people-watching opportunity. My only regret is that they don't permit cameras inside.

It pays to go to the Portland shows:

Last Benchmade Model 30S from a favorite dealer's stock (that's right, they had one last one in stock that had gotten lost and only recently found), mine for $120.

My son and I went as it was on the way back from another store, which was across the river for us. Some dealers that I talked to said that it was one of the busier shows in awhile but not quite like the recent Reno show, where one dealer said that lots of people were buying with cash. Double whammy I guess, Christmas and Y2K.
