Gun Blue

You can cold blue any carbon steel knife blade with the gun blue available in Walmart.

I blued the blade on my tool steel Randall 1-6 in 1966 to limit reflections and have reblued it since. If you polish the blade and degrease it well before bluing you'll get a magnificent finish.

If you don't like it, use blue/rust remover to remove it (you'll have to repolish to get the original bright blade color).

Yep, worked fine at my Mauser Bajonett.
I got best results when the steel is heated
(not hot, but good warm)

Be carefull the one "Gun Blue" i have is VERY TOXIC!
