Gun control and dead rapist

Someone here, or on the General forum, ends his posts with a quote concerning gun control and a woman being strangled with her panty hose or shooting a rapist in an alley. I can't find it and would like to use it. Can anyone help? Sorry for the cross posting.

I just wanted to sign off a private letter with it, which I have written to a lame brain with an anti-gun agenda. I really like Ash'aman's definitiion of gun contral. He, apparently, doesn't accept emails from the forum, and his webpage doesn't come up, so I guess I'll just have to paraphrase for a similar meaning. Parts of it aren't exactly original anyway. I wasn't intending to use it in a published article or webpage or anything, but I would ask permission if he accepted email. Thanks for providing the name.
 
Hey, it's not his quote. If he "said" it first, you would need to ask. He's quoting.

BTW, there was a case, in England I believe, maybe 15-20 years ago, in which there was mass killing. Rather than high capacity magazines, the killer, an experienced bird hunter, killed a dozen people, or so, with a double barrelled shotgun. Just took careful aim, killed who he aimed at, and calmly reloaded. Does anyone know where I could find an article or other info about that incident?

And Spectre, now that I've had time to more carefully read the rest of the list, I'm eternally grateful for the link.

I didn't find the story about the shotgun murderer here, but there are mass murderers who have used gasoline, knives, and axes. You can never control people by legislating objects.

I'm finding it hard to believe that members of this forum who buy Hi khuks would be in favor of gun control. When the guns are gone what is
next.

It would appear that a large number of the population of the US is turning into a nation of pacifists. I'm getting too old to run out the back door screaming and call 911 for people that are not going to get here for an hour.:)

If it's not obvious from context, we are NOT for "gun control", unless it means hitting your target. A dead victim is NOT better than alive and kickin'. Please read the "40 Reasons to Support Gun Control" link I posted.

Pappy, Are you reading the same posts as the rest of us? What possibly gave you the idea that anyone in this discussion is *FOR* gun control? Please explain?

I live in England & the only case I can recal was the Hungerfoerd massacre in 1987 by michal ryan,He was a regular shotgun hunter & target shooter with pistols & rifles,
Most of his 16 killings were carried out with a norinco ak47 & a bereta pistol & there were many reports of him calmly reloading on the news & in the papers.

Unfortuantly because of this arsehole, Englands draconian firearms laws were brought into bieng.

Thanks for the link. That's not the one, tho'. I'm specifically looking for the guy with nothing but a double barreled shotgun, to demonstrate to a couple of acquaintances that the limit on magazine capacity has no effect on mass murder.

In fact, it might be just the opposite, since there is evidence that people with high capacity magazines (including police) tend to think they have so much ammo that they can spray bullets at random, rather than aim carefully.

I remember years ago, as a deputy sheriff, I had fellow officers who good naturedly teased me for sticking with my trusty old .45 1911, while they were carrying 15 round 9mm's. I would tell them, those are just fine if you plan to miss a lot. <g>
