I am also in college and I just got my CRFFL. It only costs $30 for 3 years, a hell of a deal if you plan on buying surplus firearms. I just got my license last week and I am waiting for a couple of catalogues to show up. I plan on getting a Yugo M48, if I can find one, and maybe a Carcano or Turk Mauser. With these two purchases my license would have already paid for itself ;) Just food for the thought.
