Hello everyone. Been a gun guy for a while and only recently rediscovered the joys of knives. Was looking to get a new butterfly knife to replace a cheap one I had as a teen, and found all sorts of cool flippers and such and couldn’t resist the pull.
As a lefty, I’ve mainly purchased Benchmade knives since the axis lock is left hand friendly but I’m hoping to find a lefty Spyderco para 2 and a hoping beyond hope to find a We Knife Chimera lefty. As I’m newer into this world of knives, will also appreciate any suggestions of other brands or models that are lefty friendly.

Any of the Spyderco lockback folders (or any lockback, really) ought to be left hand compatible. Welcome back to the knife game, you'll find all kinds of good info here on how to spend your money on sharp things.

In my opinion, the pm2 is very easy to open lefty. I'm ambilefterous, but I usually carry righty.

Hogue has the ABLE lock which is ambidextrous. Most of their OTF's have reversible clips.

Pro-Tech has some lefty auto as well.

In general there is a guns and knives thread, but I'll throw some pics up here.

Let me tell you about custom knives...

since you're already falling down the rabbit hole...

My buddy who is s BM lifer is also a lefty. I bought him a Manix 2 LW in S110V and he loves it (he goes, wow that's like 80V more that S30V!) give it a shot!

Butterfly knives were hard to get into for me...they're either 50 bucks or 300 bucks and I had a hard time making the leap. Also, they're not legal over 4in in my state so finding one under that was next to impossible.

On top of that, most of them are for flippers and are not the best users (or rather, they're kind of fancy to be users). The balisong section here helped me out big times so definitely check that out!

Have fun
