Sup knife lovers,

I recently decided to finally pursue buying a holster for the 1911 I acquired a few years ago from a fellow member.

I don't like belts or clutter on my waste, and thus have never really felt comfortable with a belt holster (I have always had leather). Plus, they just aren't my style. I am looking more towards what you could call a "guide" or "chest" holster, like the Guide's Choice made by Diamond D.

Concealing is not a concern, as I will be wearing it around private property, or, when allowed, hunting.

I can't find many other makers for such a rig, and am counting that people with as good of taste in knives have a similar taste in guns/leather and will of course be familiar with many custom makers.

For those considering my budget, I would rather not limit any recommendations and want to see what people have to show me. You get what you pay for, am I right?

Thanks for any help, everyone!

Try Red Dog Gun Leather. I have three of his belt holsters. I would bet he could make you just what you are wanting.

How about a classic GI tanker holster. They work great for 1911's

I can't remember the name but the people who made the "Original Dirty Harry" holster still make quality holsters. I found them on the web a while back when looking for a leather rig for my S&W 500.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far! I am going to look into all of them more closely in a few :D
