Gun Kote

I have a blade I am "doctoring up" that has some type of powder coating on it. I am unable to grind all of the small places that remains coated. I want to apply gun kote as a protective finish. Will GK adhere over top of the coating in the tight spots?

you need to be more specific about your "some sort of powder coat". If it is indeed paint a product called "CHISEL" will remove it. Be very careful and wear gloves as it is quite adept at removing skin as well.

It is the coating on a TOPS knife. Where I get "Chisel"?
