Dang, holsters aren't quite as simple as sheaths...

This was my first attempt at a gun holster, and decided to go ahead and do a combo for my new Ruger and mostly matching Busse blade.

It's functional, but don't look too close as there are LOADS of mistakes, lol. I'm going to wear it around for a bit and decide what changes to make --- in case I ever get the courage to try this again.

A pic of it on, so you get the ide of how it wears... (NO, I don't normally stand with hands on my hips!!! It was too late to retake the pic, lol.)

Thanks for looking :thumbup::thumbup:

Looks good Eli. I really like it. Now im gonna send you my Kimber Eclipse and my meaner so you can practice some more!!!:D Just Kiddin!!

Nice job Eli, you've been making some knice stuff. I better get to work if I hope to keep up.

Oh man, it's appolling! How could you ever post pics of that and show your face again. ;) :D

Man that thing is Awesome looking! Truely cool.

The craftsmanship looks great to me. How does it feel on ?

It feels pretty good actually...

I think my first change on the next one would be to drop the knife a good bit lower. I think the butt of the knife is going to bump the stock of my brush gun while walking with gun in hand. Shouldn't be any trouble when the gun is slung over the shoulder, but in "ready mode" it might interfer.

I got one of those --- full size or pro? :D

Thanks for the compliments gents

Eli--That looks absolutely great! I like the idea of a combo riding low like that...everything on the strong side. Great work!

Wow! Real nice. Great idea to make a combo sheath/holster. The tooling is looking pretty good too. I've been experimenting with some carving and stamping myself and it's harder than I thought.

Looks good to me! I want one for my Glock 21/BATAC!

Yggdrasil is the world tree in Norse mythology. It's supposed to be located at the center of the universe or something like that.

Hmnn, I don't think so, not sure what that is  :)

This is the standard configuration:

But your work reminded me of this:

So cool looking. I would take that one in a heart beat. If you ever decide to upgrade, I call sloppy seconds on that one.

Looks like you need to make your self a beefier gun belt to hold that up.

This also makes me want to get a leather working starter kit.

what about canting the knive a little big forward? that way you might not have to lower it quite so much, and a forward draw is a little easier than straight up and down. you don't want to drop it so much that you have to jackknife to the side to get the handle. :) and, of course, beautiful work.
