CRK people! On page 57 of the Sept/Oct issue of American Handgunner, there is a photo of a custom gun and a prototype Mnandi! This must be one of the original prototypes, as it has the CR logo on the blade flat instead of annodized on the pivot screw, and it has a lanyard attached to a hole that has been relocated on the later prototype II. I believe the first prototypes did not have a clip, either.
Also in this issue is a Knifeart advertisement for a Redwood Mnandi Exclusive, which appears to be the first of many Mnandi variations to come. Start saving your pennies...

I think you're right. I'm still in a bit of shock at the stylishness of the Mnandi. While my love of my Sebenza was a bit slow arriving, it is here and real. Hard to believe now that there is an incredibly modern looking folder from CRK. Assuming the quality will equal that of the Sebbie, I think a great number of Sebenza owners will feel it necessary to buy a Mnandi.

I don't think it's so hard to believe, I love my guns and I love my Benza's :D

I'm contemplating selling off most of my other folders, who needs anything else? (except a Mnandi:))

Of course I said that about my guns after I bought an HK USP and I never did it.

I just heard from Larry at Knifeart that the Redwood Mnandi Exclusive is serialized, and I will be getting #1. These will be marked 1-25, 2-25, etc. Not too shabby! His price is quite reasonable ($330), especially for a serialized exclusive edition. I believe that the list price for regular production Mnandis will be somewhere around $300, so Larry's Knifeart Exclusive is very fairly priced. I would suggest you Sebenzanistas who are contemplating a Mnandi and want one that is a little different give Larry a call.

You beat me to the #1, but I've got 20 of 25 on hold.

I guess neither of us wanted to mention that we cleaned him out of Mnandi prototypes as well ;)
