I was out at a local gun show over the weekend & was suprised to find this setting on one or the tables:

I asked the owner if I could inspect it & things got better:

And Better:

Old School Benchmade 910M2HS Stryker:

I knew a little bit about this knife but, do not really know a lot about this particular model. It has been used & carried a little bit so it is probably not a collector knife but, it looks & feels like a awesome knife. Please help to educate me a little about this one. When did the Logo Change, What years did Benchmade make these, Were there a lot of the M2HS models made, ...

Thanks

Im probably wrong so take it as you will. These ran from mid to late 90's. In M2 blade steel there were not many made and yes it is a collector. Logo changed when the 710 came out I think. I dont know how much you paid for that man but whatever it was you most likely got a screaming deal its a rare one...

1. Absolutely amazing find. 2. That knife is in mint condition and a prize. 3. These were made in the late 90's and never in large numbers as M2 is very hard tool steel that simply wore out tooling equipment. 4. I really hope you didn't spend a lot for it, but whatever it cost was worth every penny out of your pocket(s) and CONGRATS!

You're not wrong CC...great minds think alike. ...and yes, (to the OP) this one is in such a condition I would put it aside as a collectable. There are always those who say "USE the dang thing", that's your call but I wouldn't.

Thanks for the info guys. I really like the old Butterfly & Elishewitz logo on this one. It is a cool piece that just begs to be used but I will probably put it away for safe keeping. This was part of a multi-knife trade +/- $ so all in I figure I am out a little less than a Benjamin.

It's not mint, but it is very sweet. IIRC M2 was pretty unique to Benchmade in this time period. Plus, it has the Elishewitz logo, which disappeared later on.

There are plenty of members here that would gladly pay up to $250 for it Im sure...hell even I am jealous lol
