Not wanting to contaminate Archers thread, I started this one. I too was at a gun show today and being true to the Buckacholics, I asked to look at this brand new shiny 110 in an old gentleman's knife case with a nominal $20 price sticker.

Sure nuff, it is a brand new unused 2011 stamped knife with leather sheath.
Like I needed another 110, I laid out the 20, more out of curiosity than anything. Knowing that a new one in a clammier at wally runs a little less than $30 drive out.

The old codger didn't even close the case lid before he reached under his table and popped another one out in its place.

So I asked him how he was finding them and able to sell them this cheap. He obviously didn't want to tell me and did this song and dance about unlike walmart he was satisfied with making a couple bucks profit on them.

Really? He is buying them for $18?? With the standard leather sheath!!

Obviously there is much about buying wholesale that I don't know. Been cornfused all afternoon.

I know a few years back wally and Academy ran a ton of 110's on for $18 and change, or less in some stores. Just didn't know any could still be bought in that price range.

Were any 110's on any web specials in the recent past?

There was no box or clammie.

:confused::confused::rolleyes:

Guess I'll just wrap it in bubble and put it with the rest of the herd.

I'm eat up with em...:D

Still looking for the thread we did on our restore methods.

He may have been making a couple of dollars on each, but maybe not.

Maybe he was just hard up for cash and liquidating a little easily-moved inventory to buy his dinner.

These are hard times.

Or possibly "off the boat" (from China)?

Does anybody know what wholesale on 110s is?

110's are not made in China.

Nah ima... is pristene :) Thought it might be a blem, but can't find anything wrong if it is.
