Found a couple of keepers at the gun show this afternoon.

First is a $20 303 from 2001 in virtually new condition.

Next is a $12 305 Clipper from 1989 in terrific condition.

I have more photos and info; but I'm all out of patients right now. I had this whole informative post typed up and apparently I somehow hit the back button and lost it all. If there's any interest in this thread, I'll add more photos I guess...

Pokt, Good finds. Sometimes BladeForums saves your post in the 'auto save'. Check there and post it. DM

I feel your pain. I miss the days it took 10 minutes to screw things up but now with computers, you can do it at electronic speed. Has happened to me more than once.
I am interested in your finds at the knife show.

Yes, nice finds. I have never seen the clipper before, that is very cool.

Please, show us the rest. There is interest.

Cool finds :) I did not know Buck made a clipper knife. Learn something new every day
Please show more.

There were a ton of old Bucks at the show. Most were either too far gone, or too much money. I'm surprised to have found the 303 in virtually new condition for $20. The $12 305 was a great find.

A quick google search brought me to this page: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1161798-Bucks-with-scissors
Which lead me to this page: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ture-Show-(10-16-2011)?highlight=305+Clippers

Some good reading there, but ill paraphrase...
The 305 Clipper was originally a 1990 catalog item. They ran for a couple of years and were available in a few different colors. The 305 Clipper was killed after a few years and brought back in 2011 as the 306 for a single year. There's the albeit brief history... lol

We've all had knives with scissors before, right? All of mine, even my nice Victorinox knives (as I recall without getting it out to confirm) have some bit of spring steel or a coil spring built in to the clipper. If you lose, break or damage the spring, the clipper is useless. What is cool about this little 305 is that they added a spring to the knife just for the operable part of the clipper.

Notice the 3 springs? If you have a regular 305 to compare, which I do not, you'll see the difference.

I'm happy to have found it. I dint know whether I'm going to keep it or barter it off for something more useful to me, but since it's still the honeymoon phase, I think ill drag it around and show it off for a little while...

Thanks for the tip Dave!! Saved me more frustration this morning!!
