I've never been to a gun show but I want to go because I've heard it's a good place to find knives. Does anyone have any experience going to gun shows around the Seattle area and generally, what type of knives should I be able to find there?

I can't speak to Washington but here in Kentucky you can generally depend on their being two or three dealers and a handful of individual traders at even the smaller shows. Most of the individual are slipjoint guys with rolls of primarily Case knives. The dealers will usually have a larger variety--all the way from Taylor brand (or no-name) junk to Spyderco and Benchmade. THere are 2-3 guys I see at every show and some that only attend occasionally.

You could always call the promoter and ask how many knife vendors they have registered, but some of my best finds have been from a guy who's mostly selling guns but happens to have a couple of personally owned knives he's trying to sell.

Right on, thanks guys. That's sort of what I figured but I just thought I'd ask.

As far as pricing knowledge, I spend enough time browsing knife sites to have a doctorate on it. If there was a game show called 'The Knife Price Is Right', I'd be Bob Barker.
