Yesterday I went to a gun show up in Albuquerque. I stopped by Kurt Allen Swearingen's table, and while I was impressed with all of his knives, I could sadly only afford his bird and trout knife. I picked it up in red stabilized maple burl with a 1082 blade. And after having it for a day I dont think I will be going back to factory fixed blades. It has the best fit and finish I have yet to see on a fixed blade knife and a very well done differentially heat treated convex ground blade. After a few minutes of polishing on my strop it cuts like a dream, and cuts wood better than both my Izula and my BRKT bravo necker. It has the most comfortable handle I have ever felt on a knife. It was worth every penny I paid for it, if you want a nice outdoor knife check out Kurt's work.
Pics will most likely come tomorrow because I am busy celebrating the new right now.
