I know this don't have too much to do with knives, but I know here we have very knowledgeable people. I want to buy a good book about shooting tactics and techniques, some recommendations would be appreciated.

Take a look at the Gun Digest Book of Combat Handgunnery. Might even have it in your local Borders/Barnes and Noble

Maybe someone else can answer this: Why is the newest edition by Massad Ayoob, where the book was originally by Chuck Taylor? Have there been substantial changes in the content of the book???

I recommend "Tactical Pistol" by Gabriel Suarez. His book impressed me as being very practical and well thought out.

I would suggest Massad Ayoobs' "In The Gravest Extreme" If'n that don't give ya' some serious food fer thought....well...you's just too damn piss stoopid ta' be a breedin'....:D

Here is a video you MUST watch.
Martial Marksmanship- A Fighters Guide to Close-Quarters Handgunning. It features Andy Stanford and Michael Janich. This video covers sighted fire AND point shooting. It takes the best of both methods and teaches when to apply the right technique at the right time. A great book is Guns, Bullets, And Gunfights by NYPD top gun Jim Cirllo. This man knows his sh_t! You can fnd both of the above at www.paladin-press.com.
