I have got a 6 inch diamback, that I just love. but , feel the need for precision. I was thinking of having it tuned up and install some new sights.
The eyes are not what they used to be and the stock sights just don't get it anymore. First of all , any suggestions, I tend to like wide target type as they are much easier to pick up. At least I shoot better with these on the target pistols that I have owned. adjustable is a requirement

Next finding someone to tune it up who is competent, after a few discussion with a local " gumsmith" I have little faith in his abilities. Anyone who will not guarantee their work is someone who doesn't know what they are doing or
the have the confidence to do what they claim in my opinion.

Anybody know any good wheel gun guys? who is the best? I found one guy in nebraska but it's a five month wait and I could buy a new 12 gauge with for the same cost of the tune.....

Honestly, it'd be easier if you had a Smith and Wesson, since they would do the work for you at the factory for very reasonable prices. I don't have a good suggestion for Colt. Sorry.

It may be worth a drive to the big city to find a competant gunsmight- or a drive somewhere.

There are Colt specialists but they are harder to find.

you might try Reeves C. Jungkind in Austin, Tx. at (512) 442-1094. He is supposed to be the wizard with Colt Pythons which is a brother to your pistol.

Edit--I just tried to call his number and it is disconnected. Directory assistance doesn't have one for him in Austin anymore.

C&S also has a 6 month backlog. I'm waiting to have a New Service worked on.

Try Colt. Maybe their Custom Shop will/can do the job.
