I hope your alright down there mate?

Let us know if you and your family are OK.

Just for those wondering, Country, Victoria where Gundy lives has been having the worst bush fires in living history, many burnt to death and many still missing.
Ian.

My thoughts are with you and yours mate. Remember you've got somewhere to escape to up here if you need to get away brother!

AW Jeez !!!

Hope everything is ok with him and his.

Bought my first BA-E from him about 7 yrs ago.

Be safe mate.

Rob

Thanks Ian/guys.

This is a seriously #@$%^ up situation. The fires are around 30 minutes away and things were very scary Saturday night. A mate lives a little closer and said that he was 10km from the front and it sounded like a jet engine. There was no outrunning it apparently, moving too quick. Many people have been caught offguard.

The skies were yellow/grey over the weekend with ash and other debris falling from the sky. We were on spot fire watch but thats nothing as compared to the people who have lost their lives, property etc. Absolutely horrifying.

We are hoping for some rain but it does not appear to be coming yet.

Its not over...

Stay safe, and have an escape route planned! Keep the bug-out bags by the door or, better yet, in the escape vehicle.

Also, please keep us posted if you can.

Hoping for rain for you. I just washed our cars, so it'll definitely rain here tomorrow. Maybe you should try the same.

Perhaps our Gundy should kit up and head for safer shores? :o

Those combustion fronts move awfully fast.

Please don't take any unnecessary chances, alright? :o

Been following on the news! Stay safe Bro, and do like Guyon said, "Keep the bug-out bags by the door or, better yet, in the escape vehicle".
Just prays guy, guess ya got enough smoke...

Stay safe, mate! You are in my thoughts. While we have forest fires here, nothing to compare to what you are facing...so be prepared to bug out!

I'm glad you are all OK! Try to stay that way. ;):D

The bush around me is like a tinderbox ready to explode so we are a little nervous as well. 44 Celsius here yesterday, but back down to a cool 100 degrees today. :D

Take care,
Ian.

Holy Crap Folks! Our prayers are outbound and we wish you all the safest possible.

With the significant loss of life already, hang in there guys.

Not much else to say , that has'nt been already been said,,,,,,stay safe cobber............... best of luck through this horrid ordeal !!!!!!

It's been heavy on my local news up here in NJ, getting lots of radio play too. That fire is wicked in those gasoline trees down there. Folks who are not familiar with Aussie brush fires would need a change of pants, it moves that fast. Prayers to all and especially to those who lost their lives so suddenly.

The head lines today say 128 people killed (that they have confirmed so far) and 750 homes lost.

The fires must have been travelling so fast for so many people to be caught out.

We've had some bad ones in years gone by but this one is just horrific.
