Hello, how do you think Lon Humphry's Gunfighter compares between these two steels. Looking at an older 1095 one, maybe. But I see a place has a lot of new ones in 52100 w/ different handles right now...

52100 tougher? Somewhat corrosion resistant?

Holds an edge better. 52100 has enough chromium to form some chromium carbide for somewhat improved wear resistance. And the chromium also gives a more uniform heat treatment. 52100 is commonly used for bearings for those reasons.
