Just acquired one and love it, the long wait is over. What an impressive knife.
What do y'all know about the steel, CTS-XHP? What is the rockwall hardness?
Just curious to see what you folks think.

My Gunhammer is in CTS-XHP as well, it's apparently similar to D2, except that it's stainless. You should check out Ankerson's recent comparison between it and S30V; due to the lack of alloying (very little vanadium) it will not hold an edge as long as S30V, but it will hold a razor's edge longer. I personally prefer a steel that keeps a very fine edge instead of a working edge for a long time.

HTM seems to run it's steels quite hard, so my guess is 60-61 HRC. That's purely speculation, however.

I recently acquired a dark earth and DLC bowie in HXP from knife country usa for $196 shipped. originally ordered the S30v version as it is stated on their description through Amazon and was sent the XHP version instead. Thinking about ordering another being the price is so good. Happy hunting.
