Gunk on a new strider?

Anybody else get a new strider and notice loads and loads of white sludge on the pivot? I understand using some lube, but the amount strider throws on is overkill. Is there anything I can do to clean this $&@% out of there? Other than that its a sweet knife though.

Sounds like they decided to use some type of economical, organic lubricant.

It's a new grease coming on striders, I believe it is lithium grease but it could be unicorn blood. Wipe the excess off and enjoy the smoothness!
