Gunny handle for woods knife

I want to get a Bark River Gunny to use as a woods knife. Is the handle big enough for extended use (feathersticks and such) in the hammer grip? Should I get liners to make it a little thicker, or is the handle w/o liners good enough? I have medium size hands.

Why not get one of their knives designed specifically to be a woods knife? They have many of them.

I wear XL gloves and find the Gunny to be very comfortable in extended use, its one of my favorite knives. I'll note however that liners will not add any appreciable thickness to the handle.
