Due to the fact that Paypal does not support the rights enumerated in the first ten ammendments to the Constitution Of the United States, and Gunpal supports these rights, and contributes a portion of their profits to the Calguns foundation which is a force to be reckoned with in the california 2A community. I would like to use Gunpal to purchase a Gold membership.

Please let me know if this can be done, and if so how to do it.

Thanks

Honestly, I like the looks of Gunpal, however... it's not even a .com address, it's .net. Let's give it a year or so to get established, then we'll look into it.

.com and .net are equally-good.

.com originally meant "common," the place where we put everything that wasn't .net (those sites which had to do with actually running the network), .edu (the universities and colleges from which so much of the Internet sprang), .gov (the US government sites from which so much of the Internet sprang (and, take it from someone who was, Al Gore was not there)), .mil (the US military sites from which so much of the Internet sprang) (and for you peaceniks out there, the Internet is very much part of your "peace dividend"), and .org (the non-profit organizations). Along the way, .net and .org sort of lost their meaning and sort of came to be grouped with .com.

Regardless of that, when you mention the name of a site without the top level domain suffix, people automatically put .com behind it. Gunpal.com doesn't work, or redirect to gunpal.net... and furthermore, it's just too new. Sorry guys.

What reputable online company (especially one dealing with money) would not secure ALL the common domain suffixes BEFORE starting a business? Not doing so is tantamount to suicide because of all the scams and phishing.

The .com address (.com means commerical) is registered to Gunpal Shetty who bought the address in 2003 and has a lease on it untill 2011.

I guess that the folks behind it are a .net sort of group, as calguns is also a .net. I see the concerns, with the possibility of a .com clone creating a scam, but it looks like that URL is currently locked up.

I like the folks behind Gunpal and think that this is a small way that we as a pro 2A community can make our monetary votes count, I have looked into the list of people behind Gunpal and recognize nearly everyone of them as extremely active members of the pro 2A legal community in california. Plus the CEO has a strong resume.

I understand that it is hard to trust a new financial institution, but I am disgusted by the practices of paypal, and would rather make payment by helium balloon than actively support a company that is against us. It disgusts me to see mention of "discreet papal" I mean WTF they are making a profit off of a transaction, and you have got to hide the true nature of the transaction becuase they don't respect our rights.

It would be truly eye opening if everyone who deals in anything Tactical, SD, HD, Hunting, or any other area that the 2A also applies to would take their business elsewhere. I bet that paypal would not be quite so quick to ban people for "non discreet" payments if they were hemorrhaging business, but as it is they can treat us like s--t and still reap the rewards of a monopolized market.

On the other hand Ben Cannon is a stand up guy and I would steer my business his way no matter what he was selling.

Regarding the .com... Check back with me in a few days. I think you'll like what you see.

Well beyond 10k members now.

It will keep growing, I just wonder how long it will take for it to become "cool".
