Guns magazine does multi page article on slip joints

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Guns magazine just did a multi page article on the resurgence of slipjoint popularity. They tried to cover all the bases and it seemed well written.
 
I'm glad to see slip joints get back in the mainstream hopefuly this article will have a positive impact on their popularity.
 
it was a nice article
but didnt anyone else get upset that they were right? ie Laws forcing non-locking blades on people....
 
That's some good press for our hobby. I don't get knife magazines, but I'm sure the traditional knife gets at least the occasional press. Gun magazines however probably only focus on hunting or tactical blades, judging by the ads I saw in the rest of the magazine. Gun enthusiasts usually have knives, but aren't necessarily knife enthusiasts, so they might not know everything that's out there.
 
I liked the article.

It gave nice overview of the facts in a shot glass, without a lot of un-needed stuff. And I gave them a few points for just mentioning peanuts.:D

I know a few shooters who are into the traditional knives just because of their shooting hobby. One is a cowboy action shooter, and carries a nice stag stockman in his leather vest pocket, and another friend who is a die hard muzzle loader hunter who uses a Green River style skinner and a rustic looking friction folder.

Any little bit helps.

Thanks for the heads up. It's just too bad Schrade and Camillus couldn't stick it out a little longer. A resurgence in the traditional knives might have turned things around for them.
