Guns

"Now that's just...neat." Good to see some Lewis gun action, along with what looked like unusal '30s-'40s hardware. The guys with the 37mm gun and the slightly larger howitzer must have had some real fun.

Great clip, but why'd they have to ruin it with that heavy metal?

I like what they did at the end with the remote controlled airplane Im gonna have to try that some time. :D

I believe it is a Lewis:

The top-loading drum magazine caused no end of headaches for early fighter pilots, who in some cases (before synchronization gears) had to stand erect in the cockpit (holding the stick with the knees!) and reach overhead to change magazines on the top-of-the-wing-mounted gun.

One improvised rig had the gun on a sliding rail, that allowed it to be pulled down into the cockpit for reloading.

One of the local VFW posts has a well-maintained 37mm AT gun in front, that I've had secret designs on for years... What, no reloading dies?

I think it's the aircraft Lewis, though, since I didn't see a cooling shroud.

What's the guy in one of the Jeeps shooting on a pintle? Big conical flash hider. Some kind of Russian 12.7mm MG?

I don't know why, but one shot during the airplane sequence struck me as hilarious. The person blasting away with an AA-sighted heavy machine gun at that little toy. A 20-guage would have worked better.
