I'm going to be taking my little brother to a powwow at Muddy Run park, and a gun show at Quarryville PA. Susquehannock state park is nearby, and the area is south of Lancaster. We plan on hiking a little bit after we go to the show and powwow (walk off some fry bread and buffalo burgers 
). I had planned on heading out to Lancaster, but I think it will be a good bet for us to hike the surrounding parks. The view from the eyrie at Susquehannock state park is well worth the visit. Walking through the woods at Muddy Run while the drums and singing are coming across the lake to you are, again, more than well worth the visit. And I've always gotten some great deals at the Quarryville show.
