Gunting as a utility blade?

I am about two seconds away from ordering a Gunting. What I need to know is: can I use it for everything or should it just be used for self defense?

I really want this knife but I don't like the idea of spending so much on a knife that I might not ever use.

Should I avoid using a Gunting for boring cutting chores?

I don't see why it wouldn't do everything a native can but more comfortably (bigger handle), so yes be the answer.

Bring on the lefty Guntings!!

To Qoute our belated Jim..he used to tell me "use the sharp one to cut the bagels and the DRONE to spread the cream cheese..."
Ok seriously..It works great cutting up fresh caught fish..we've hunted & skinned with it..it won't slip out of your gooey, bloody or wet hands...it cuts paper, fruit...string...
hmmmmm...it cuts lots of stuff... I've used the ramp to open pop tops...strike off bottle caps...

need I go on??????

The GUNTING is a versatile utility knife. It will do anything its asked to do..WHY NOT? It's a SPYDERCO product! Its a super matter seperator as its supposed to be with a very ergonomic handle.
I agree bring on the lefties..Ok how about finishing the righties as well...
