If one were to buy a gunting for EDC/MBC only, would the choice be a plain edge version or partially serrated?

Guess none better than Bram to answer this one... After all, it is his baby...
Hopefully, he'll be here to answer it soon (I'm curious myself).

Hey guys..I'm going to be gone for about 2 weeks..so I'm not ignoring anyone..OK??
The Gunting comes in PS ( partially serrated) and PE( plain edge)..WHY? well if you have no way to sharpen your Gunting then a plain edge is the bestest choice....like if you are in the field or somewhere wher you cannot get to a serrated style sharpener..or for somereason you don't carry one..if you have a way to sharpen your Gunting..then PS is the way to go..

I personaly really like PS for MBC..The Serrations are there if you need them..the plain edge also..
Spyderco serrations are multipul straight eges anyways..they 're very very cool..if you catch heel to toe the serrations catch n cut anything in their way leaving the PE to follow the arc..
You can use the serrations to cut fabric, rope etc..
You can use the plain edge to enter with a tip rip or thrust...

I do own a full serrated Gunting proto..Its not the way I envision a Gunting..LOL...its got very large Spydie serrations..it will cut but I prefer the smaller teeth and PS mode..60-40...

be safe..

Interesting... If I'm not mistaken, Michael Janich has also expressed his preference for partially serrated blades on folders. A matter of versatility, I guess.
