Has anyone tried this?

I know it voids the warranty.

It looks pretty easy but you never know until you have tried. If you did, any problems with putting it back on?

Just got mine and I want to know as much about it as I can.

Thanks,

I did it to the trainer to give it a thorough cleaning.

The only difficulty is getting the washers back in. I don't know what they are made of but they are soft and thin and like to slide around. When you put the blade back it the washers don't line back up with the pivot so you have to do some wiggling and poking.

There isn't a need to take the blade out but if you want to it isn't so bad. Like I said, the only difficulty is the washers.
