There is a review by Phil Elmore of the Instructor series tapes-DVD's and the Gunting in this months cyber magazine "the Martialist"..
http://www.themartialist.com/0703/gunting.htm

Thanks for the fair and open review Phil..

The Gunting is spreading slowly..along with its fixed bladed cousins the Abaniko series..
Its being used by several "agencies" and military units...
and a bit 'o the anti terror units as well....

It's in the current issue of Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement and last months ASLET magazine...
Its a feature in the new magazine from Germany; KATANA...

The training described is a modular training methodology to teach in the "train the trainer" world..

Hey it's ONLY 1-4-12!!! ROFL...

be safe

Bram

Bram,

You really seem to like your Gunting...I guess one of these days I'm going to have to take a look at one.:).

Glockman,

Try it. I think you'll like it, but even if you don't you'll be impressed with the "thinking outside the box" that went into its creation.

Phil's review was fair and good. It's hard for people who haven't trained with someone to see how much comes across in a video. I've finally seen all of them, months after I started studying under Bram, and they capture a good part of his teaching. I love how he shows the motions from a variety of angles, so you can see more clearly what's going on. Poor Andy! anyway, if you've been to a seminar, I think you'll agree that the series is a great way to take it home with you. If you haven't been, You can gain a wealth of knowledge with a trainer and a partner. and a rewind button. LOL-Joe

Glockman,
Forget Bram liking his G.! He might be just a little biased!:D Ask me or one of his other students or instructors, "WE" love the G,most of us carry more than one knife but we always have the G,drone,or live blade with us!! Me ,I have the live blade, the drone & a kiwi, most of the time!Take a seminar, or get the tapes & you will find you "might" just become a Gunt-a-holic!!

THAT'S what I'm afraid of...My wife ALREADY thinks I'm nuts and have "too many knives".:D.

My live blade has gone everywhere with me here in South Africa.

I've been using the drone to bang on some friends and family. Everyone here seems pretty interested in it. Even complete strangers have come up to me to ask about it.

I think I'm fortunate that I've been able to be a little bit less PC about it here in SA.

It's a bit of an adrenalin rush been able to use that power that we often hold back on when training.

Dan:
Actually I do like my Gunting and the Gunting system and the training methodology...
I guess it would be a sad state of affairs if I didn't like the tool I designed-invented nor liked the training format I put together for it..
I've been lucky that other Trainers, chief Instructors and Academy Heads have been impressed with the training methodology as much as the tool itself..

Its a user, word of mouth spreading..person to person promotion..just like your name sake the GLOCK..there's basically no ads. no company sponsored promotion EXCEPT those that use, carry or train with the tool..

It's the ONLY full force continuum tol out there..
and it works..
It's saved lives and done what's asked of it and more...
It's a real deal hard use tool...

it's not perfect and it doesn't pretend to be..its not all to everyone..

but its one hell of a tool..its the epitome of an MBC tool...

be safe

Bram
